WCDH Raises Residency Rates

It is important to WCDH to keep our rates low and accessible to writers of all backgrounds, genres, and levels of experience while providing the best possible writing environment and experience. In the last year, we have seen significant increases in the cost of food, utilities, and other items essential to our operations. For that reason, we will be raising our residency rates to $95 per night. WCDH alumni will qualify for a reduced rate of $85 per night. These increases of less than 15%, the first since 2019, will take effect on July 1, 2022. They will allow us to continue to maintain our standards of quality despite rising inflation rates.

WCDH will honor the old rate for writers who have already reserved a residency at the old rate. Writers may shorten or lengthen existing residencies, however, residencies that are re-scheduled to a different time after July 1, 2022, will be at the new residency rate. WCDH is currently accepting reservations for group and individual residencies through 2023. To reserve a residency at the old rate, email director@writerscolony.org or call 479-253-7444 before July 1, 2022.

Thank you for continuing to provide such a lovely, peaceful, pleasant and comfortable place for our community of writers. Your efforts are so much appreciated. I hope to be back there soon.
