Writers come to Dairy Hollow to take advantage of the quiet, solitude, and opportunity for productivity. But sometimes you need a break... and some inspiration. We've compiled a list of local places we think may help. We recommend planning your breaks before you get here to make sure you don't get swept up on the wonderment of Eureka Springs, The Ozarks, and the greater Northwest Arkansas area.

Book Stores an Libraries

BOOK STORES AND LIBRARIES

Eureka Springs Carnegie Library 194 Spring St (10 min walk)

Gazebo Books 86 Spring St (15 min walk)

A lovely bookstore, but the owner has a few quirky rules. No using your phone inside and cash only, so come prepared.

Amused Fine Art & Extraordinary Books 44 Spring St (17 min walk)

Charming and fantastical, this children-centric bookstore is owned by one of our alumni, Ashley Wellman

MUSEUMS AND ATTRACTIONS

The Crescent Hotel  75 Propsect Avenue (6 minute walk)

This historic hotel sits atop Eureka Springs and is just a few minutes' hike away. Hear about part of The Crescent's history during The Baker Hospital years from WCDH alumni Sean Fitzgibbon.
