The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the donors and volunteers who contributed to the Jana’s Kitchen renewal project. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to declutter, organize, and revitalize the Colony's kitchen, creating a more functional and inviting space for our resident writers.
The Writers' Colony kitchen is an essential component of our residency program, providing our writers with a comfortable and well-equipped space to prepare meals and socialize. Over time, however, the kitchen had become well-worn and disorganized, hindering its functionality. To address this issue, we launched Jana’s Kitchen project, and your contributions made all the difference. With your donations, we were able to purchase new shelving, which significantly improved the flow and organization of the kitchen. We also cleaned and painted the walls and floors, giving the space a fresh and inviting appearance. These renovations have transformed the Writers' Colony kitchen, making it a more pleasant and functional environment for our writers and for Jana Jones, our on-site chef.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the volunteers who generously donated their time and energy to help us empty, declutter, clean, paint, and move everything back during the December shutdown. Your efforts were invaluable, and we could not have completed this project without your support.
We appreciate your commitment to our mission of supporting writers, and your contributions will have a lasting impact on the Writers' Colony and the writers who pass through its doors. Once again, thank you for your support, and we look forward to continuing our work together.
