About the event

Popular Music Arrangement: A Producer's Viewpoint is a workshop that delves into the often-overlooked aspect of music production that makes songs successful. Led by Eric Bragg, a musician, recording/mixing engineer, producer, and electronics engineer with extensive experience in the industry, the workshop will take place on June 11th, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Great Room at the Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow. The event is open to musicians looking to produce their music in a studio and has a capacity of 20 participants with a recommended donation of $20.

During the workshop, participants will gain a producer's perspective on music arrangement, with a focus on analyzing their own music. Eric will cover topics such as arrangement patterns and dynamics, the importance of instrument and musician choices, and creating "space" in the creation process. To fully benefit from the workshop, participants are asked to bring pen and paper to take notes.

With his in-depth knowledge of acoustics, electronic systems, and professional audio production, Eric has a unique ability to create recordings with a polished and professional sound, well-suited for commercial distribution. This workshop is an opportunity to gain insight into the producer's viewpoint and learn the "guts" of music arrangement that make songs successful.
